Diane DesPlantes is a psychotherapist for over 25 years, specializing in trauma. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in the State of New Jersey, New Jersey Office of the Attorney General Division of Consumer Affairs. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has a certification in Clinical Social Worker Supervision.

Diane is a graduate of the Multicultural Family Institute in New Jersey. Specializing in working with diverse populations.

As a member of EMDR International Association she served five years on their Executive Board. She is a Certified Therapist in EMDR and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant.

She has been appointed as an Expert Witness by the New Jersey Middlesex Court.

Diane maintains a private practice in Plainfield NJ for the past 16 years, as a bilingual therapist in Spanish and English. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Fordham University in New York City, and obtained her Master’s Degree at Hunter College Graduate School of Social Work in New York City.

Diane is a trainer with over 20 years of experience. She has been certified as a trainer of trainers. She has worked as a Master Trainer for the Department of Children and Families for the State of New Jersey, covering topics such as cultural competency, supervisory courses, child sexual abuse and LGBTQ issues. Diane has presented at the Annual NASW Conference and the Annual EMDRIA conference. She has presented in the states of Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  She has also presented at numerous colleges and universities in New York and New Jersey, as well as community organizations across the country.
